As the title says , does anyone have experience of Worcestershire noseband?
My cob bombs off when frightened and I struggle to bring him back because of how I react. I've been lunging him in a Dually and he responds well to the nose pressure so that got me wondering at first if I I should try a Kineton - I think they look quite severe and then saw a Worcestershire mentioned.
It looks like it would just bring some nose pressure down and would be less severe than a Kineton.
So wondering if anyone has any experience of using one?

I've used a kineton- imo they're not as severe as they look, as long as used sensitively (but there goes any kind of tack). It's been a real help, he doesn't fight it like he does other gadgets, which leads me to believe it's fairly comfortable.
No experience of a Worcestershire noseband but I think they're less common they might be harder to find?

Shires do a Worcester which is quite smart.

Imo the Kineton being called severe is a bit daft. It reduces the pressure on the mouth by transferring some of it to the nose, but it has a different action than most are used to feeling, which can be very effective.

Tried a Worcester on mine out hunting. Discovered in the end she's happier with no noseband at all and an old fashioned Pelham so thats what we stick with. But its always worth a try.

Agree there is a really good explanation of the Kineton's action if you scroll down this page .. http://www.sustainabledressage.net/tack/bridle.php
