I am known for being a bit of a geek among my friends... when it comes to training tips

There is often some really good advice and tips on here...from some very smart and experienced folk.
I thought I would share.....
I copy short paragraphs from various posts that interest me. Then I paste them into a word document that I have on file.
I refer back to this many times... especially when I need a bit of inspiration for a new training idea when I get stuck in a rut.
I have quite a collection now...and it saves searching through old posts.

Wondered if anyone else does this??? or am I really sad!!! ( prob -yes).

Ditto Chloe!! Share the geekery please!

I haven't done it for training tips but I have done for feeding advice given out on here (mostly by TGM lol)

Oooh I've written down "TGMisms" before now! She once gave a really straightforward explanation of why you should ride on a given diagonal in trot - something I had struggled to explain to people before, but TGM managed it in words of one syllable!

If someone asked me why they have to be on a particular diagonal I would have to say "because you just do ok!"

I'd be a great instructor

I'm a total "Monica" and have a folder full of articles and the likes that I've ripped out of magazines. All in polypockets and grouped into sections with folder dividers

Thank you

i've made a book of all the advice i've received over the years. also reflections after event rounds etc! i've got all my dressage trainer's comments and exercises, over the years, in a word doc and a printed-out booklet too.
i'd love a copy of your word doc too please, to kerilli at gmail dot com, thankyou!

Lucinda Green used to do this - there's a fascinating section at the back of one of her books on cross country riding which basically gives her diary entries after events, reflecting on what she did wrong. I don't do this because I'm too scatty!

I will send out the email over the weekend... to you all and to those who have PMd too !!! Am at work... and its on my laptop at home!!!
Glad I'm not the only geek!!!
