Work life- and your Boss!

I have often had to have a few hours off to recapture my escaped shetlands or emergency vet, He is excellent about all my animals, inlcuding my cat's vet appointments and lets me go without question but then he lives in the New Forest and loves animals, he's more flexible with animal owners than he is with parents, and he is one himself! (Parent that is!)

My boss is really good about having time off for the farrier etc, working flexi hours and didn't mind when I didn't come in because Fudge had choke

I am lucky can be very flexible as choose a day off during the week which is brilliant for competing, I also fit vets, farriers and dentists appointments around the day and not get too much hassle about it. I can also leave early if needs be for lessons but I work most Saturdays and I can often be working till 8pm at night if busy.

Mine are flexible to an extent, they know if I didn't have the horse I wouldn't work! But I also cover hours if someone's sick, as a way of making sure I can be flexible.

i am my boss so nothings a problem! lol.. one of my employees has horses to and she just comes in and says ive got to go at such and such a time ...doesnt ask just tells me lol.
