Hello,

Looking for area recommendations if I accept a job in Stevenage.

We'd eventually move and buy a house but will possibly rent for the first 6 months. Husband's job is flexible but I'd like to be no more than 45 mins commute away.

Would like a good horsey area. Currently very spoilt in Cheshire with a huge choice of livery yards and equestrian facilities! Any idea of costs for full (services no riding) livery costs? Currently paying £135/week.

It is a horsey area, but the yards will be smaller on the whole, and many have more limited facilities, indoors less common for example. Drier, so turnout may be better.

I can't help on costs as I don't keep my own horse, though would expect them to be a little higher at least, just see yards as a saddle fitter (and have covered Cheshire/Gtr Manchester in the past).

It's a good area, i know a few yards but those aren't full livery, more private yards though further into Stevenage.. look on Facebook, we have 3 Hertfordshire Facebook groups, many don't put their prices out but I recall one in Hatfield does 675 for full livery I believe (??

It's nice Stevenage quite a few yards scattered about will probably be more expensive in general than Manchester I would think.

My friend has a nice yard in Hertford its not that far from Stevenage not sure if she has any room at the moment, and it depends which bit of Stevenage your moving too as might be a bit far.
