I have always wondered with part bred arabs how percentages are worked out. I have see some like 99.7 to 44 something. Is anyone around to shed the light please

Unless their close ancestors have their percentages worked out, you need to go back through all branches of the family tree until you hit a purebred arab or purebred non arab.

So an easy one would be if you bred a mare with 25% arabian blood (so one grandparent is purebred arabian and the other three have no arab blood) with a stallion with 12.5% arabian blood (one great grandparent is purebred arabian, all the others have no arabian blood) and you would end up with a foal that has 18.75% arabian blood. This is because half of 25 and half of 12.5 equals 18.75.
