Fellow dog Walker is trying to help rehome a very pretty WC bitch. She’s just too much for her elderly owner.

Briefly details are:

Around 1 yr old (not yet spayed)
Black with a white bib
Bred locally I believe (Aberporth area (farm bred))
Not sure if she’s papered

Currently in a very loving (but unsuitable) home.

If anyone is interested I can put you in touch with the dog Walker and owner.

A friend of my parents is looking after loosing their last spaniel a few months ago (to old age related illness)- they are in Devon but I will pass the info you've posted on to them as apparently they'd be happy to travel. I'll let you know if I get any interest!

I don't want to see any pictures though as my dog of a lifetime was a black WC with a white bib (I lost her 18 months ago), and I don't have the right set up for one at the moment so trying desperately hard to wait until I sell and move somewhere more suitable- I do not want to be tempted!

This seems so common with workers, a friend of my sister has done exactly the same. Both in their seventies, never been walkers and decided to buy a sprocker. Now nine months on they cannot control him and put him in doggy day care a few times a week to have a break from him. So sad.

To be fair to the owner, she’s had working cockers all of her life. It was hard for her to come to terms with the fact that her previous one should have been her last. But this one has been well trained, walked by her and the dog walker.

I’m happy to report that I was told yesterday that the dog has been successfully re-homed.

I still haven't heard back from my mother Amymay; she passed the message on to her friends that there was a 1yo looking for a home after I saw your OP, and they said that they would get back to her at the end of the week as they were going to see a possible rescue dog the following day. I haven't heard anything, so will ask my mother whether they are interested/still looking or not.

I am still sitting on my hands and resisting showing any personal interest in the bitch, and no, I don't need any encouragement from @Cinnamontoast o_O:D

Outrageous! I can’t help it, I think most people on here seem to be good owners, of course I’ll encourage people! There have been lots of successful re-homing threads. It’s always lovely to hear that a dog has found a new home.
