Working Holiday - Dubai. Experiences/Recommendations

Evening all,

I am after knowledge, experiences and any advise for an equine working holiday in Dubai.

I am looking to go out around end of Feb, for around 2-3 weeks, possibly longer.

I currently work in the motor trade but I need a break, and a new experience. Previously I have worked in SJ, Dressage, Stud and livery yards.

I think you'll struggle to get 2/3 weeks work in Feb.
generally people go out and teach from September to June/July and then come back to the UK/US etc over the summer.
The grooms all tend to be Indian and Pakistani.

That said, you'll need a sponsor to get a work visa and You'll probably have to do a blood test to prove you don't have HIV and/or Hep B before its granted. I did when I went to renew my residence visa.

Very much depends what you're looking to do - you won't get paid employment for that period of time but you may be able to pick up some work in exchange for accommodation , etc.
