Working horse owners, tell me what you do

I work for a large bank. I've been here a year now, came straight into the job after finishing sixth form. Plenty of opportunities. Pay isn't good, I could earn more working at a supermarket, hours can also be a pain, 8.30 close at 5 but can't go till everything balances so usually around 6.
Have to work 3 out of 4 saturdays but get a day off in the week. Holidays are also notoriously difficult to get in our area.
I only just manage to fit 3 ponies and a boyfriend into this but its hard and tiring.

In brief, i stuffed my Alevels - had far too much fun being a horrible teenager, didnt get to uni to do my degree so went to poly (yep im old!) did an HND, then did my degree. I'm a biologist by trade. Did a few years in the lab - died of bordem became a sales rep.

Do I love my job - NO not at all. Do you have to love your job - no, you have to be able to tolerate it though.
I work so I can do what I want.
Do I get paid well - yes I suppose so, I want more but dont we all:) It gives me a nice house (with Hubby) my dogs, cats horses, competition etc. A holiday once a year. But I do sacrafice other things, mainly social life (if not horse related) never buy clothes (hard in my job;) ) treats etc go out the window. Im still a DIYer and always will be and I work my butt off. So not a wealthy lifestyle but a comfortable one which I enjoy

I'm doing a NVQ on a stud yard and I hate working and doing other peoples horses then having to do mine. The hours are long, sometimes we can be up all night with foalings etc. I do love the job, but it makes doing my horses a chore.

I work in law. Qualified but not a solicitor. Higher salary through project management! Not where I want to be yet but finally well on the way. I manage 2 and relatively normal life, have 3 at moment though so missing out on some things till I get a raise lol. Nice 9 to 5 though so plenty time to muck out and ride before work.
