My daughter currently jumps her pony affiliated and unaffiliated. He’s a 6 year old registered Connie who looks like he might be going over height to do bs juniors. What would we be able to do working hunter wise. Daughter currently jumps him 80/90, he has scope for more in time.He measures 151cm and my daughter is 13.
I can’t seem to find all the info I’m looking for. Thanks in advance.

If he is 151cm he is already overheight for BS I'm afraid. The top height is 148cm.

Hopefully someone with more showing experience than I will come along - but I think Connie's shown as natives have to be 148cm or under as well.

Not quite what you asked but BE/ eventing can be good for something you're able to do with an over height pony or BD if you're happy not jumping.

He’s probably more 150cm with shoes, just preparing or the fact that he might grow some more. Think the bs rule if they get measured at a comp is that they can’t be over 151cm with shoes. He’s not been measured properly before as I haven’t had any need yet.

I regret that if he is over 148 then he cannot do any affiliated M&M workers, as he needs to conform to breed standard.
It won't stop you doing any unaffiliated native classes unless they have breed heights in the rules, but these classes are very rare.

Now what he can do is BSPS whp classes, the exceeding143 to 153 classes (15hh), novice, intermediate and open. Needs to be trimmed and plaited, check out their rule book.

Good luck :)

I did BSPS plaited workers with my over height connie. He measured just under 153cm and we did open and novice 15h and intermediate classes.
