I might be doing a couple of working hunter classes with my Appy in a couple of weeks and was just looking for a bit of advice really... it's only at a local show but I just wondered what the dress code is (obviously I know tweed jacket) what tack you can use and any hints or tips? Thanks :)

You'll probably get most answers from the above thread but best advice is work on having a great gallop. Always a saviour

ps. I don't know how clear the tack part is on the thread I posted, but in Working Hunters, the tack must be plain, and can be whatever your horse goes best in to Jump.
For me, currently as it works best, I think I will be using a two ringed Dutch gag on a plain leather black bridle with a grackle noseband. I'm schooling in a hanging snaffle and flash at the moment but competitions are still a bit exciting and I need a bit more braking power when everyone else is at the party! If needed you can have a martingale on.
Hope this helps.
