working hunter newbe

Hello!

I'm looking to get into working hunter showing.
But I know 0 about It! How do I go about starting? Where do I start?

Any information would be gratefully received
 
The best advice I can give is to suggest that you go to a couple of shows and watch the WH classes to see a) if it is for you
b) what is expected of competitors
 
Have a look on you tube - see if you can find clips. I had a try out on my ISH who was more like an ID than TB. I took him along to Vicarage Farm (I see you are in London, hence suggesting this) to see how we fared. Its where a lot of pro's take new horses out (but unaffiliated). We were desperately outclassed despite my horse being a nice stamp. He was eventing and the competition were CONSIDERABLY heavier than him weight wise.
 
Thanks luci, planning on going to dacorum as they have qualifiers for the sunshine tour.
I didn't know vicarage farm did shows like this though, so I wil have a look.thank you

Weight wise he's probably a medium weight. But hes only 5 so has a lot of filling out to do.
