Hello.....daughter is due to show her new pony in a local WHP class on Sunday (if the weather holds out!) Its low key and a novice class. He has a very smart new Hunter bridle however for jumping she finds she hasnt got brilliant brakes just yet and he gets quite forward and opens his mouth. He goes much better in a flash with a running martingale for jumping (she did some ridden M&M showing with his in his hunter bridle at the weekend no problems, he just hots up when he sees the jumps).

Can she show him in the flash and martingale with his wilkie snaffle in this class?? She is only 9 and although a very capable little rider he is rather a lot stronger than she has been used to and has only had him 3 weeks so early days!

Thank you!

in simple terms yes you can but you must leave it on for the showing part too although you can take any boots off if he wears them to jump :) good luck!! x

i think you'll find that combination of tack quite common espesh in m+m workers as most mini m+ms can be a bit 'fiery' shall we say!!

That's good to know. She used to do whp with her old pony with just a hunter bridle but he was a little welsh section A, the new lad is a NF and a fair bit bigger and stronger! She loves this class as she loves showing and jumping so its a nice one for her! Last pony used to excel at it but sadly we lost him last month, we've only had the new lad 3 weeks so all very new! He has a great jump but just gets a bit carried away!
