I am doing a Working Hunter and Veteran Showing class on Sunday, and am unsure which Bit/Bridle to use on him.

I either have a

Full cheek snaffle with copper mouthpiece and lozenge
Fulmer Snaffle with french link
French Link Pelham (obviously ridden with two reins)

And

A thick flat noseband hunter bridle (requisite so not amazing :p)
OR a nice Stubben Bridle with a thinner noseband

Which would be best? I have used both in the past!

depends on the horse (bridle wise) if your horse has a chunky head then the thicker nose band but if it has a delecate head like a tb (or something like that ) then you have a thinner one :)

and working hunter i would go along the lines of pelham... but each to their own, i havent shown in years so what would i know ;)

the hunter bridle with either a double, or a snaffle (preferably without cheeks). a rugby pelham with a slip head is ok tho not ideal. and definitely tweed and shirt and tie. good luck, have fun.

Definitely the hunter bridle for both classes but the bitting for working hunter is pretty flexible and I would go for whichever one he jumps the best in. For the Veteran you would need the pelham.

Agree with others. Doesn't matter that it is requisite - who's to know? Don't forget the plaits - if you want to do well, the more the better!!
