Hi All

I'm looking to start working hunter with my 6 yr old welsh d this summer....

I have 2 saddles for him a derby house close contact jumping saddle & my Fylde Jessica dressage saddle....... Which one do I use?? I'm presuming the DR one better for the show part and obvs jump one better for the fences so which one should I use??? Help??

Also I've had a nitemare with bits tried EVERYTHING, he LOVES going in a Mullen mouth Pelham which I'm gutted about as was fixed on using a simple snaffle he just hates them all, hanging cheek, loose ring, joint, lozenge you name it tried the lot! Anyway I did use an eggbutt Mullen but after a few weeks he literally hung of my arms in it, as soon as I use the Mullen straight bar Pelham he's all settled again!? Strange....

Is a Pelham Mullen ok for WH?......and I do use 2 reins but for jumping wud prefer one rein and roundings or split reins???

Opinions please??

And is it stock or tie!?

Thanks x

The jumping saddle will be fine for WH, there is no point in using a saddle you are not able to jump properly in.

Two reins on the pelham.

Shirt and tie.
