working in an office and horses?

When you have done the weird shifts I've done and had a child while having up to 6 horses and looking after them myself with limited help, you would agree that people that work 9-5 monday to Friday and have 4 weeks leave and bank holidays have it easy!

Sorry but some people think their life is tough but they really don't understand how tough it could be!

Yes! Totally agree.

This thread was a bit tongue in cheek really - I get fed up of reading about people in a particular occupation wondering if they can fit horses into their (easy compared to mine and many others) lives so I thought I'd give the office guys a turn :)

I know loads of people work really stupid hours, very often just so that they can keep their horses. It's not a profession thing, it's a work thing. If you want to - you will.
 
Yup. I work full time (sometimes many hours more) in an office. In addition my commute is about an hour.

I planned ahead with the livery yard I chose and ensured I went where there was a floodlit school and no restrictions on what times you are there.

I usually exercise my horse at least 5 times a week. My days are long but I wouldn't change it for the world.
 
Blucanoo & blurr, couldn't agree more. My life could be easier but I certainly don't think its hard & I have so little patience with those who have it easier & still moan about their tough lives.
 
I work 55 + hours and yes it's hard work but I love it! Having my big guy makes it all worth it. I, like many run a house,work(hard),have husband, and dog. My OH and I both look forward to the time we spend with our dog and out TB. It's our little slice of heaven out of the rat race :)
