Working livery?

Hi,
I'm looking to own a horse so I can ride more than just one lesson a week, however full livery is too expensive and working livery seems to be helpful. If anyone has any idea of the price or anywhere currently offering it that'd be appreciated

I would be careful of working livery. Some can be fine but some can use your horse way more than you are happy with and then saddle you with the bill if anything goes wrong. Would you be interested in a share or part loan? You’d get to ride more and save money.

Court Equestrian outside Worcester offer working livery according to their website.

I think that they and a few other places also offer horse loan schemes where you can ride a few times per week for a monthly fee, if you don't want a private share or part loan.

Yes, we know someone who has a pony on working livery there and it seems to be working out fine so far (Its only been a few months though, so not a huge amount of time to assess)

If you just want more riding I would agree that a share or part loan would be the more sensible option. Some riding schools offer that with their ponies or you can keep an eye on your local horsey FB pages. Owning your own pony is never going to be the cheaper option!

I found a private part loan for £35/ week but prices can vary a lot depending on no. of days, jobs required, facilities etc.
