So I had the saddle fitter out tonight to fit a new synthetic GP. Unfortunately its going to be 2-3weeks before I get it. My saddle fitter said the saddle I have currently is too tight and I must not use it anymore so she gave me her demo saddle which fit her just to be used once or twice a week hacking, light schooling and advised me to do lunging to keep exercising her. She also said I need to do lots of working long and low to make my horse stretch over her back and start working properly from behind.

What training equipment do you use to help encourage your horse to do that on the lunge?

Trotting poles get them to stretch over their backs and really use themselves, even better if you raise them slightly

Pessoa's are very good at encouraging a horse to work long and low.

Trotting poles are also good, especially if you do raised one.
