I have a morbid curiousity about tales like this. The yard I was at used to have such scenarios, usually between two equally stubborn individuals, and I've got to say it was amusing, pointless and there was never, ever a positive outcome for either of them. So round two would ensue, followed by round three a few days later, etc. etc. In the end one of them upped sticks and left. Oh how quiet it was!

They definitely used to have competitions to see who could throw their toys furthest out of the pram (could be a new Olympic Sport .....), coupled with decibel level contests, dramatic flourishing offs whilst hoomphing loudly for effect.

Us onlookers would almost be disappointed when it was over, but the post mortems used to keep us amused for a while at least!

I agree you should absolutely sell tickets to the event. How about contacting your local radio station and getting an ad out there so there'll be a good crowd. You could serve refreshments ..........
