from looking at the lab web pages it appears the strikes in Nov are going to cause even more disruption.

Is anyone using a method other than normal post? Courier? do RM do a special delivery that gets there despite the strikes?

just interested if anyone has found the best way or the best delivery service.

Got to do equisal as well and those are expensive if they get lost.

I wouldnt do royal mail, I would use a courier. My friends a postie and the money she is going to lose in November is shocking ??‍♀️ If im sending anything Ill use a courier ?

I asked our postie about this last week. He said he is 3 years off retirement and could hang out but that some of the young ones were finding it really difficult.

Yeah, my friend has two horses and her contract is 30 hours a week, usually they do a wee bit of OT but the amount of days they will lose in November is half their salary! No wonder a lot of them have gone sick

I've just done Equisal and the results took longer than usual but I was told there had been a covid outbreak amongst the lab staff while I had been blaming Royal Mail.

Both apply. I did one recently, it would have taken longer to get there but lab issues also delayed. I sent it Tuesday night, missed last post, got results Thursday week.

The equisal test lasts longer, 3 weeks, than the poo so delay isn't an issue.

Westgate are offering to send free replacements if your poo is delayed too long.

Given what a courier could cost, is it worth seeing if a local vets do a worm counting service where you could drop it round. Would cost a bit more usually but maybe not after you've offset posting.

Only found out on Mon - after mucking out - that this week’s strikes were cancelled!

First time I have tried poopost, all seems good (& zero worm count: hooray).
