Have just realised my two are due to be wormed this weekend so have placed an order for Promax for now and Equest for the Spring (so I am prepared next time!) However, the order may not arrive for at least a week and although FB is fine, I really have no idea how long it is since Ari was wormed. His previous owner said he had just been done when I bought him in September, but who knows?

Anyway, what I want to know is, if I give Ari Equimax (the only wormer I can buy here) over the weekend, how soon after can I give him the Promax to deal with tapeworm and encysted round worms? Or should I just wait, which I don't want to do as I suspect his dodgy tummy may be down to a worm burden.

Ah, the plan is Pramox now and Equest in three months - as recommended. But my Pramox won't be here for at least a week. The thing is I KNOW Ari has redworms I found them this evening and I want to treat the b*ggers asap - at least the uncysted ones. I am in Spain, where they don't even seem to be aware of rotating chemical wormers to avoid resistance and Equimax is all I can get this weekend. Hence the question, how long to leave between the Equimax and Promax without throwing the schedule right out?

Pramox and Equimax contain the same chemicals, so if you sue equimax, continue as if you has used pramox, but why not just wait until the Pramox arrives, it won't do any harm.

Thanks Donklet - even if he has wormy poo, it's ok to wait a week?

BTW we poo pick and they eat hay so not grazing - I think he picked the worms up at friend's farm about ten weeks ago where he was out on grass with his four horses before coming to me.
