Wormers - What Do You Use?

Looking at all the different types, am starting to get very confused!

Year packs, pastes, granules, natural/organic, Intellgent worming systems and now tablets - argh!

I'm just looking for something simple - any recommendations?

If you yard doesn't have a worming programme, and you don't know of one, either ask your vet for one, or use one of the year pack as they are probably easiest if you're not sure about worming.

Mine is very simple.

I poo pick, only have my two horses in the field so I use worm counts and worm for tape and encysted red worm and have done for several years.

End March - worm count and if necessary I use Equest.

Mid September - worm count to see if I need just tape or a combi wormer.

Mid October - worm for tape or use a combi wormer depending on September worm count. I use Equimax as a combi or Equi Tape for just tape.

December - Equest - to kill encysted red worm/bots/anything but tape

March - repeat the cycle.

Mine very rarely have anything other than clear or low counts.
