wormers??

OK Ive had Benson for 4 months after a 4 year break due to losing a horse but before that Ive had 1 or more since i was 2 and worming was simple equest 4 times a year and equitape (sp) twice a year so i went down to feed store and they have so many and i was told equest was rubbish so I'm confused now what does everyone use and when? how often?

If you google horse worming lots of companies come up with complete worming programs .

Did they give their reasons for why they though Equest was rubbish?

Basically similar to what you already do but only using Equest as the routine wormer one year out of two to avoid resistance problems.

Well that is pretty poor service! What feed store was this (I wonder if they didn't have Equest in stock or whether the profit margin on it is low)? If anyone ever says anything like that to me I always ask them to explain their reasoning!

Have alway has mine on the equest programme and never had any problems. Not sure why she would say it was rubbish. All our farmer recommends is equest.

tbh i had 2 sick kids with me so just wanted out of shop and 10month old weighs 28lbs and kills my arms lol


it was Saracens and they did sell it, Ive always used it had no problems i know your sap post to change it as worms get used to certain type so I'm going to buy a equest today and do him today

Equest/Pramox/Equitape are still three of the best wormers available. there is virtually no profit margin on any wormers. perhaps she had a bad experience with it?

Oh dear!! You have a crap SQP then!!! Equest is one of the most effective products on the market!! How worrying they are so mis - informed, Gives all us SQPs a bad name when we are trying to keep our unique status of being able to sell and give advice on animal medicences - unlike mainland europe where wormers are only available through vets......I would steer clear of her "advice" or go on line to wormers direct!!
