Worming 16 month old filly

So I've bought a 16 month old Filly and the previous owner has said that she is up to date with worming. But am I safe to worm her regardless of this just incase I'm being lied to?

Also do I need to be careful as to which wormer I use?

I would ask the previous owner when she wormed last and what with, and/or worm test the filly.

Panucur Guard 5 day would be my choice for a bought in/no history horse.
