He was done with equest paramox in feb so was just wondering what you would all advise to do him with this time? plain equest or equest paramox again or something else?

thanks

I would use the wormer recommended on your worm plan...the one you have missed by a few weeks. Then in 10 days get an egg count done.

Speak to Fort Dodge who make Equest and Pramox to see what they recommend. I would guess that they will say Equest only, but just in case you wormed too early for tapeworm with the Pramox would be worth checking. An egg count won't check for tapeworm so best to check to be on the safe side.

you do not always have to worm every 6-8 weeks, years ago tht was the case but better wormers on the market theses day do state that (dependingon brand) will cover your horse for up to 13 weeks.

If your horse is holding his weight, is healthy and ding okay, is tiurned out with teh same horse and the field is regularly poo picked then I wouldn't worry too much.

Just carry on with your worming programme and this time don't forget... lol

i wouldn't want to be using equest every 6 - 8 weeks!! it is designed to be used every 13 weeks, so only needing 4 treatment per year = equest summer and winter equest pramox in spring and autumn, thus eliminating the need to use drugs too often which can lead to drug resistance problems.
