Just checking. I have been worming every 3 months with Drontal plus and monthly with Advocat (started doing that to primarily prevent lungworm). Interestingly having carted newest staffie girl off to the vets when I got her as she had some sort of infection around her eyes, it would have been prevented if she had had advocat (turned out to be mites)

Chatting to a friend and she thinks I am over dosing using both. I have googled and its not very specific with the info. Am I following the correct routine or should I review?.

Dogs = 3 staffies who are out a lot. 2 are off lead and all get to really roam (with me) in the fields at the yard so can easily find nasties to nibble at..

I need to keep this simple too so it doesn't get forgotten either!

My vet gives my just a tapeworm tablet with advocate. Originally the recpetionist had given me milbemax (which is like drontal, don't ask! I did query it when she gave me it and she was very snotty!) and when I next saw the vet he said that he was being over wormed and that it was only necessary for him to be given a tapeworm tablet on top.

I agree with galaxy that giving just a tapewormer every 3 months should be fine if using advocate (confusingly I think one of the ones out there is called "droncit")
