Hi there,
Ok first post but I've been a lurker round these forums for awhile and I need some advice ,Ok so here is the low down,
I have a 10 yr old mare who over new year had a pelvic flexure impaction that went on for 9 days, on the fourth/fifth day we decided to take her to newmarket equine hospital where they continued the liquid parafin (she also had IV fluids etc) but no surgery or anything. We got her home on the 9th day (they wanted to be sure) and her discharge notes said she could return to normal on the 10/1/09 and so obviously me being the paranoid owner I am she's still not back to normal normal but its the livery yard policy that we worm all of our horses together and we were going to do it this week but Im worried as I don't want to put anything in her system if it could upset her again. Logically I can't see any problem with it but it does seem soon... hmm!
Any advice or anything would be much appreciated,
Thanks MM x
