Hi, I have been having a conversation with a friend who has a different approach to working than I do. Mine is wormed at 6 month intervals (Oct/Apr) for tape, at end of year for encysted redworm and worm counted in summer. Also had 5 day panacur in march last year as poor condition and prev history unknown.
Friend wormed for tapes in autumn, but missed encysted redworm dose, and says its now dangerous to use moxidectin for these if wormed now (late April) as they are emerging and better to use a broad spectrum product to get roundworm etc, then she'll worm for encysted in autumn. I realised that other than understanding about encysting etc, I don't know what the redworm life cycle is, and I would have used Pramox now to cover missed dose, but would this be pointless/dangerous? What time of year do they emerge - is it Jan/Feb or Apr/May?
Thanks for any help to understand this more!
