Worming Regime Recommendations

Hi all,

I was wondering what worming regime you all use? I'm going to send off a sample to be worm egg counted this month but I'm not sure what else I should do? We normally give a wormer around christmas time for encysted small redworm but apart from that she never really has a worm burden and I don't want to just worm her for the sake of it!

You also need to equisal test for tapeworm twice a year. Around now and then in 6 months.

Our yard is awful - riding school ponies never get done. I have an annual strop and they get zapped with Equest Pramox as soon as the first frosts hit.

Sounds like a yard I know, only with something cheaper than Pramox....

I'm no expert but this year my routine has been to worm for tapes spring and about now. (Or Equisal test)-Equitape
In December I will give a equest for encycted red.
Or Pramox now will cover both.
I then do egg counts but never actually need to worm as all mine have pretty low counts and I poo pick religiously!
