I've been on a routine worming programme ever since I had horses, swapping bands each year and making sue everything runs to time.. I did my first egg count and got the results today, out of the 4 I have at home 3 had no eggs seen and one the newest one to the herd had a medium egg count.

So I'm going to look at worming for the 3 that tested clear for just tapeworm and worm with Equest Pramox for the girly who scored the medium levels..

Does this sound right?

Its all a bit new to me this type of worming, abviously what I've been doing has been working so its a bit strange to change it, although it seems long term better for the horse..

Sorry if im seeing a little daft!!

Yep that sounds right although you might want to consider doing all four with equest pramox if you didnt worm in december for encysted small redworm.

They, like tapeworm, do not show up on a worm egg count so also need to be wormed for. Equest pramox will do the tapeworm and the encysted small redworm.

Hope that helps :D
