Ok so my pony is due for worming. For the past 5 years I have used Equest and Equest Pramox.

She has had a few tummy troubles over the past year and so I have been looking at perhaps trying the Verm-X wormers (herbal).

Does anyone use this?

Thanks :)

i wouldn't waste your money, worms are resistance little things. the chance of it work is very slim. your best bet is to worm for incested small red worm now with something like equest pramox or equlivlant and the worm count in the summer if all clear don't use worm.

Hi. Had our mare and gelding on Verm X for a year.

Did a worm count on both.
Mare was clear, but gelding had a high worm count that was cleared using Panacur.

Verm X seems to work on some, but not all
Hope this helps.

Speaking from a scientific point of view, herbal wormers do bugger all, unfortunately you do need chemicals to kill worms. I would get a worm count done to check she actually needs it, especially as you have been using the same wormer for a long period. If you are really concerned about her tummy maybe discuss with your vet as to what they would advise.
