Normally I worm at the start of March with Equest Pramox before moving my horses to their spring field.

Now due to the wet weather I haven't been able to move them yet so I haven't wormed them.

They are still on their winter field - or mud pit :(. I don't poo pick this field because I worm, take them off it, harrow & rest for normally about 8 months. So I'm loathe to worm them at the moment as I'm worried about them re-infecting them or am I being stoopid?

Should I just worm them or shall I hang on until they can go to the new paddock - although I can't think with the current weather when that would be :(

If they are due their wormer then give them it. Or do a count and see if they need it yet. You can do a tapes dose a little later perhaps.

One thing we must really get out of the habit doing is worm and move onto clean pasture. It selects for resistant worms so that the problems come sooner and is not good practice.

Thank you Borderreiver for responding.
Once they are on their spring field I poo pick religiously, the same for their summer & autumn fields. It's just this winter field I don't (purely because of time) seeing all the poo just makes me a bit twitchy :D
I think I'll go ahead & worm.
Thanks again
