Just a bit of advice please, wormed our Pheeb's new 2yr old friend (she arrived last week) last night with Pramox and nearly threw up when mucking her out this morn, loads of roundworms!! Yack! Never seen anything like that for donkey's years. My question is.......do I need to worm her again shortly or just leave it until she would next be due in three months?
Thanks

Pramox is quite a strong acting wormer so I would be checking with your Vet on this one. Personally I would leave until around January time and then do with Equest as it is around then you need to worm for encysted redworm anyway. That way you should mop up anything else lurking within!

Speak to your vet or a SQP for advice. Certainly I would have a worm count done before you worm her again, so you know if she still has a burden and can see if it increases or decreases with your advised worming programme. Ordinarily I think they suggest 5 Day Panacur for youngsters or those with an unknown worming history to begin with but I wouldn't be giving her anything else now she has had Pramox without proper advice.
