Hi. I am a bit confused about this worming thing. So it says at this time of year your horse should get a Fenbendazole or Oxibendanzole worker, it also says that they can be overdosed up to 60 times the standard dose... I am not 100% on how much my horse weighs (between 450-550 kg I'd say) she won't stand do we tape weighed and there is nowhere else I can get her weighed, what weight should I supposed to give it for? (If it's any help she's 15.3 tb, with a lean build)

Any help/suggestions greatly appreciated :)

Hi, not sure what you are reading or where you are but oxybendazole? Panacur is fenbendazole and there is a lot of UK worm resistance to this old drug. At this time of year a good worm control programme would be: think about tapeworm and either worm to cover it or better still test with Equisal and only dose if you have to. Only 25-30% of horses have tapeworm. Also do your third quarter of the year worm count and again only dose if you have to. Next in December/January treat encysted redworms with Equest. Hope that helps.
