When the horses poos drop on the ground do the worms migrate in to the soil or on the grass?

I believe that the worm larvae jump to new quarters and then climb up the grass.
They can jump quite a distance up to 6 or more feet away from the actual droppings.

Look North or some such programme did a natural world olympics and they won a medal. This was a fair few years back.
