I gather this is normal? ASBO puppy got wormed by vet as soon as she arrived with us even though the people I bought her from said that she had been done... was shocked to see MASSIVE worm in her poo today

Compared to her tiny size the worm was truely massive, poor little puppy.

Obviously the wormer is doing its job... just wondered if there was anything else we should be doing to help?

Not alot more you can do & YES this is normal as the wormer has killed the worm in the gut so it has lost it's grip on side of the intestinal wall & so passing through!!!
Have fun!! LOL

I know with hound pups that have come back from walking occasionally we have seen tape worms hanging out & they have been up to half a meter long so was straight in with worming solution! Not pretty to see! Though after their 2nd "emptying no more signs!

Like I said not good at 6am when walking out before breakfast needless to say we didnt have spagetti on them nights!!!

OMFG how scary would that be?? Attack of the killer worms!! LOL THOUGH I WOULDNT AT THE TIME.

I had the same with Finn chick... breeder said he was done... yet when we wormed him with Panacur the results were grim!! YUCK!!!... I had to worm him everyday for 3 days but after the forth there were no yucky worms present in his dodoos!!

When we first got our collies as pups we wormed them and the next day thier poo looked like it had been mixed with spaghetti! Don't worry too much as this is very normal, they can pick a lot of worms up from thier Mum too.
