Am just wondering where puppies get worms from. Which probably sounds a bit stupid but if you have a pedigree from a good breeder, who has wormed them regularly and worms the mother, where do they come from?
New puppy is on a monthly Pancur schedule until 6 months, then vet recommends he goes bi-monthly. I haven't seen any worms yet though I remember worming a kitten for the first time (she came from a neglected home) and in the morning there was this huge brown thing swimming in her water dish, as big as an earthworm. Absolutely disgusting!

My vet conducted a study on this subject. They wormed the preg bitch every day until the puppies were born, they still had worms. Apparently no matter what is done, it is going to happen. It is quite usual on the first worming to see them. they look like chinse bean sprouts and can be up to 5" long, quite disgusting!!. I have seen the earth worm types before, not sure what they are called.
