Can anyone advise please.
My horse I thought was getting a bit fat- normal coming into summer but surprised me going on the state of my grass this year!
On standing back and examining him properly I see he's lost muscle (top line) this is understandable as ive struggled with the exercise recently due to a neck problem (mine not his!) its fixable.
He has visible ribs- only slightly as in from an angle they are not highly obvious or very defined looking.
But his tummy is still a bit "pot bellied" looking?
He's 15, semi retired regularly wormed- last done with Pramox. The paddocks are poo picked regularly, daily in the summer.
I have just ordered online worm count kits from Westgate Labs but what do you think?
- also I know that tapes wont show up in the count but the recent Pramox should cover that?
Other two horses on same regime look absolutely fine.

Pramox will have covered for tapeworm. Lack of exercise as you say may well be the cause, if he seems well otherwise.

I would ride him and see how it goes and if worried, ring your Vet for advice.

Yes ok, I do like to stress about them!
It may well be that- My job working with fit race horses never helps as I view my own as grossly fat at all times where actually they are never really very over weight- I think he's not a shape im used too and compare him a bit too much maybe!
