Beastie got her lump removed this day last week. I was looking at it earlier and it seems quite swollen and red and the stitches look tighter? Am I being a paranoid mum...picture below (it runs from chest to the tail, not sideways like it looks)

It's about two inches long.

She never touches it or tries to itch it so hasn't been wearing the lampshade.

I am also going to discuss the obesity management with the vet at the weekend, although I was gonig to call him tomorrow to let him know I am concerned. Originally the stitches were to come out on Saturday.

Shh don't tell her about the diet

Well I know I am not Cayla but it really does look fine to me if that is any reassurance at all for you

Is there any heat or discharge from the wound? If not then I would say nothing to worry about

You're nicer than CAYLA, apart from being mean about the boots I want

No swelling or discharge, although redder in red life. I just poked it and it doesn't feel warm

It mustn't hurt her though as I felt all along it and she snored on

Beastie is hardcore!

I should put her lampshade on just to show you all how cross it makes her look

B's went like this a couple of days before he was due to have them out (we had to wait 14 days because of availability, was over holidays) and I, like a paranoid twonk, slept on the sofa so I could stop him if he managed to reach them past his buster collar.
I thought he wasn't worrying at it before that, but it turns out he had, I just hadn't heard him.

The vet told my mother the next day that it was fine. The skin will fill out and the stitches will pucker as the skin tries to return to normal.

Call him if you are worried

I would definitely say nothing to worry about then

She could always sleep on your bed tonight of course, so you can keep an eye on her just to be sure

It does not look like it breaking down at all....maybe if u where nicer girls the vets would answer your stresses.......u little biatches

They are due out on Saturday, but I was thinking of ringing him tomorrow. As far as I am aware she hasn't touched them but obv. I'm not watching her 24/7 but they never look like they've been scratchted at...

When I had stitches in my arm and they were due out the skin started to pucker, I went to the docs thinking my arm was about to get gangrene and fall off but apparently it was just my body basically saying that it had had enough of the stitches and my immune system was trying to get rid of them

. Just thought this may put your mind at rest until the morning!

I have just spoken to the vet so he wants her in to have a wee nosey at them. Mum is going to take her as I'm working, so I'll update later! Thanks everyone
