Worried about his teeth?

So was having a good hoak around new boys mouth tonight (just getting him used to it) and noticed, now, bear with me, there is the front row you can see and when you look in the side normally you can see a bottom and a top tooth slightly offset from each other?
Checked my 13yr olds mouth, he has them, think all the rest do too. He has the bottom ones, but not the top ones?
Never noticed before now, but had a look and the teeth are there under the gums, (the bottom ones are out, just not the top ones), should I be concerned? He is supposed to be rising 6, is this normal?
 
When did you last have the dentist out? If more than 6 months ago perhaps get him to check them out. Baron has his checked every 6 months

I may be wrong but in my experience all the teeth should be through by 5/6

I believe that at 7 and 8 they develope hooks at the back of the side teeth that help you to age them.... so would need to be erupted to develope hooks..

Any chance of a photo???
 
Just looked it up and it looks like these teeth don't come through until 5, have to check, cant remember if his bottom one was there now I think about it!
He is supposed to be rising 6, perhaps younger than we believed?
If they're nearly erupting, I assume I would be able to feel them (I can)
 
Are you talking about the canines? They are usually about 1-2cms from the front row of teeth. If so then he perhaps has blind canines up top and they may never come through. Most of mine don't have upper canines to be honest.

If you are talking about the big molars at the back of the mouth, then what you are seeing will be his wolf teeth - they are generally a sharp little shoot of a tooth which is set right in front of the pre-molars. Once again they can have blind wolf teeth.
 
yes, having looked up teeth, it seems that they are the canines.

All of ours have them.
If they are 'blind' will they come through or not? Or would they be there under the gum at all?
Please excuse my lack of knowledge here!
