It is coming up to that time of year when my horses jabs are due and I am already dreading it! I won't bore you but last year I had a different vet and made a complete hash of it...basically the vet was tentative because he had hurt his leg and proceeded to mess about finding the right place to jab, which made my boy nervous and then it went from bad to worse. Short of it is my horse was very worried by the whole experience so I want to re-gain his trust and make things easier this time so it does not become a major problem.
Well first things first, I have booked my original vet who is a lady I trust...my horse is happy with her and she has a nice but confident manner...so that will help.
But is there anything else I can do on the day...would a bucket of food at the front end help? Any suggestions?
