I brought my horse in from the field this aft and after picking his back feet out, I noticed they were both a little bit warm. Not very noticeable... Lunged him and he wasn't lame. He is only shod on the fronts and I have noticed that his back hooves have been wearing a bit more on the inside (reminds me a little of when people 'walk on their ankles' if you get me?)

Anyway, have text the farrier but probably won't get a reply til Monday as he's away this weekend. Will ring vets and see if I can speak with a vet so they can reassure me and advise me.

Anyway, as the title says..I'm a huge worrier and I can't stop thinking about it! Please will someone reassure me that his legs won't drop off over night :(

My mares back feet were warm this morning and I instantly panicked as she's lami prone but her fronts were fine and no pulses either so I was totally baffled too!!

No soreness, lumps, bumps or pulse! I know I shouldn't worry so much but I can't help myself! :( Even worse knowing that I can't speak to anyone til Monday!

As others unshod hooves will always be warmer better circ, also 99.9% of horses will wear their feet down on the inside, its a good thing apparently.
