It's cruel to leave your horse out with no rug (said horse was sweating whilst naked and I am seriously considering clipping him next summer!)

I think most unsolicited advice to be bad advice! (99% of the time anyway!)

Not really advice but a weird comment, I was talking to a woman about having Alfs back shoes taken off over winter and she said 'dont do it, it will make them lob sided' i was quite confused, I think she thought I was them off on one side. Strange

Another way to get your horse on the bit. Jock your stirrups up, sit on the back of your saddle and lock your hands behind your knees with a short rein. The horse will soon learn to put it's head in the right place.

Remembered another one. "Your sidepull will be of no use if you don't strap the noseband really tight! You shouldn't be able to pass a finger under the chinstrap, and that's how you use bitless bridles. Otherwise they have no effect on the horse whatsoever."
