OK just in case it comes to it, how much for Ben?

16.3 hh DWB
very forward going
16 yrs old
navicular in both front feet(never been lame and on cortaflex)
laryngeal paralysis(only affected riding if u bomb about)
hacks alone or in company
50% to clip lol will stand but a bit jumpy
100% to shoe(falls asleep)
erm thinking
not best to school more of a happy hacker but can spook at shiny bits on road and man holes only spins and will go past them with some encouragement

£500. Obviously this is not a horse you would wish to pass on

Sorry but agree with SallySmith £500 max. The cost of keeping him medicated added to livery bills and vets bills that will be inevitable detract from his value.
Would he be able to get insurance?

You might have paid £850, but i'm afraid I certainly wouldn't pay that for him (in fact this may sound harsh but I wouldnt want him even if he were free).
Whilst he isnt incredibly old, he does have health issues, which is going to put most people off.
In the current climate, healthy horses are being dumped as homes cannot be found for them.
If he were mine and I couldnt afford to keep him I would PTS to save him being passed about.

I have to say I wouldn't think he'd be worth much at all. Zoom is 13 and perfectly healthy but since she is fizzy and headshakes without a net I got her for free!

Maybe £500?

Still too much IMO.
I don't think this is a horse you can sell. Or at least, I wouldn't, sorry.

insurance wont pay out unless BEVA guide lines, and is paddock sound not an option if looking to PTS and collect insurance money unless you got LOU and then only 70% of market value. sorry. try to get a sharer to hack and contribute to costs, or turn away and keep as a lawnmower

sorry but you couldnt give me that horse, in this climate, you can buy sound healthy horses for £500, i have just bought two, and bloodlines to boot.
