Worst names (horses)!

I have a horse called Turtle.

Everytime i tell someone they're like 'what?? why not horse then'
 
Ohh and i forgot- i know one called John, he is about 17.2, very majestic and mannerly, it suits him down to the ground

I called one Colin and I have bred a Fred. my friend (now owner of Fred) has a stallion called Tommy

They all have posh spanish names but I love the incongruous stable names

ETA: I nearly forgot! I did have an absolutely beautiful spanish filly who was a bit of a baggage - she was called Sh!!ty short for S...head!

Lina was called MUFFIN when I got her - not really a great name for a leggy grey TB type is it ! SO it morfed to Muffalina and now she just gets called Lina most of the time. + every one over 35 would call her muffin the mule ! I had no choice but to change it

One of my best friends horses is called Gordon another is Apple - One of the best is Drizzle
 
My first pony was called 'Doal' when I got her - because the breeders grandaughter could not say Foal. I changed it to 'Star' - which now I look back was far far worse but I was only 12 (and very uncool

The next was Rondeveau - which suited him as he was a monkey to ride.
The others had normal names thank goodness.
 
Well we've had Gem who came with the name Jemima puddle duck, Bob who's name was blob, and i now own Prince who's registered name is Windy Prince - poor boy!

We looked at some very strangely named horses....'Squeeze' springs to mind as a particularly weird one! A friend of mine had a horse called 'Wayne' and another called 'Dave' - very strange.

When I was doing some commentating a couple of years back, here was a horse called The Ginger Ninja which made me laugh. There's also a racehorse somewhere called The G Spot

My old horse was called Ugly, Ug for short. I knew a black jack that was nick named BJ. Oh and a horse called spud!
My current horse is an exracer thats proper name is 'my aunt kate'.
 
Years ago I had a pony called Tommy was quickly changed changed to oMAJOR .Also had a horse who previous owners named Benny (yukkkkkk) so promptly canged it to SIRROCCO.

Knew a show pony called Simon!! My old horse's racing name was Cason City, He was called Frank after Frank Carson, we changed it to Willy!! Froggy! Saw one the other day advertised for sale called Bucket??
 
My new mare is called Fever which I am starting to really like.

My old mare was called Ellie but her show name was Sparkella

My horse used to be owned by a riding school who brought ponies of a dealer. she came over with 2 other ponies.

I used to ride a horse at a riding school called Groovy Baby - that was back in the 70s, which shows my age!

We did musical sacks one day and there was a problem with the music. After the delay his owner ran at him and went to vault on - a bit ambitious as he was about 15hh. But meanwhile he had dozed off and the force of her weight hitting him sideways on caused him to fall over - they both landed in a heap and were ok, thankfully, but think that serves her right for calling him such a daft name
