Worst possible start to the week!

Was on my way to put my horse in the field this morning at 7am when out comes a deer, braked to avoid hitting it but my car skidded and is now a complete mess! Managed to drive it to the yard before I got my dad to pick me up! Now I'm carless with no way of getting to my horse until my cars either fixed or the cheque comes out! ( looks like it will be a write off ) very bad start to the week!! also the deer is fine it jumped out the way just in time!

It must feel dreadful but actually, it could have been a lot worse.

You could have been injured (or worse), the deer could have been injured and you could have been faced with the dilemma of what to do about a suffering deer, unable to get help for either of you because of 2 broken arms.

Or there could have been a car coming the other way...........

Will your insurance company pay for a hire car?

I know, I was very lucky, car went into a ditch then came back out itself and the deer was fine so that's a bonus! I didn't ask for a hire car when I took my insurance (didn't have a horse so would have coped for a few weeks without it) The weird thing was when I went to go and give my horse a hug she was sniffing me and looking at me really weirdly... Sort of snorting, she either knew something had happened or could smell the smell of the airbag etc!
