Worst Youtube pony abuse films ever?

I came across several films done by the same person or people, all equally bad and upsetting.

I fear there's nothing can be done to stop this, but I'm guessing the films are made to bait animal-lovers, as a kind of sick joke. They are laughing as they ride and beat what appear to be young foals. Most seem to have been made a couple of years ago. Don't watch if you think you'll be upset.

Is anyone aware of any action which could be taken to have them removed from youtube? Does the site have a policy on animal abuse?

Both look to be Chinese.
Call me racist, I don't care, but the Chinese as a whole are horrendous towards their animals.

There were worse on related videos of grossly obese men and I mean disgustingly huge riding small donkeys and Shetlands. People are incredibly cruel. I am ashamed to be human when I see things like this.

Please don't make this a racist thread. :(

I don't know or care what the ethnic origins of the film makers are. To me that's not the point. What upsets me is cruelty like this being shown as some sort of joke for others to see.

No it isn't the point. My point was the majority of bad cruelty cases I see in the news etc is in china. You were asking what can be done about cruelty by YouTube. My point was that china as a whole doesn't value animal welfare. And so I doubt they government will do anything.
Hence my comment.

Fair point Elsiecat.

What about Youtube's own standards and ethics? Do they have any?

I imagine anything to do with children would be dealt with via YouTube swiftly.
However you see how lightly people get let off with animal cruelty, it's just not taken seriously enough. So perhaps YouTube don't take it seriously either.

This is disgusting, It makes me feel sick watching that man whipping the poor pony and its little face was terrified. The damage that could be done to that poor pony 👿😡😡

These videos are vile. I'm not going to comment on the content.

There is some horrendous stuff posted on there - it's such a huge site - how on earth can it be 'policed'? The internet can be a blessing and a curse. :-[

^ if I knew where did good rugs that weren't produced in china id use them every single time. You could give me a 5 star all inclusive holiday to china and I'd tell you to stuff it!

One of my best friends is chinese, I think one or two here need to go do a bit of reading, ALL nations have concepts and morals that are not very nice.

No, animal cruelty isn't nice, but do you tar the whole nation with the same brush? Of course not.

This HAS turned in to a racis thread.

Not happy.

Just found this. This poor horse was just cast aside with no thought to welfare. Some might say 'its not as bad as the video!' But cruelty is cruelty, whether it be beating, or neglecting.
We need to look at our own culture before we condemn others with the 'holier than thou' attitude. We are far from perfect.

What about that abbatoir in this country? Terrible abuse....

I saw that video mentioned about the toddler who was run over and ignored. I thought about it for weeks. It was the most awful thing I think I will ever see :( Apparently the reason no one helped her was because they didn't want to get involved and be sued for doing something wrong! No matter what country, what kind of people have we become??!!!

Of course it's not everyone dragonslayer, I've got Friends with Chinese parents and their animals are loved.
But the very fact they had no animal cruelty laws alone until 2006 says everything, even now it isn't inforced even in shocking cases of cruelty. My point was clear in what I was trying to make about the government stance and so YouTube would probably have no reason to conform, if you think that makes me racist then so be it.
I'd fully support buying no animal products from them as a nation until the government step up.

My personal opinions on this is we should be shaming nations and individuals regardless of race or creed. If animal abuse is happening, it should be stopped. I don't care if it's Africans massacring rhinos for the Japanese/Chinese "medicine" market, the Chinese farming and skinning dogs and cats alive, Gypsies trotting foals on the roads, Hunting hounds and English people thinking ripping foxes apart is a fun sport... ALL animals should be protected.

I don't think it's racist. It's about the animals. Some cultures happen to have a reputation for being cruel to animals and that is more of a stereotype than a racist comment. What sickens me so is the fact some of these practices are being protected under "tradition" e.g. foxhunting.

I am sure, many chinese people, africans, englishmen and gypsies the world over would be horrified at what some of their kinsmen are doing to animals and are ashamed and disgusted as we are of them but it doesn't make someone a racist.

I'm sorry but that's awful.
I dated a Chinese guy and he was the most loving person towards animals. He'd been brought up in China too, so it wasn't the UK influence. All of his friends and family loved animals too.

The video is bad, but surely similar is seen on Dragon Driving?

Read the rest of my comments. I know Chinese people as well who are lovely to their animals and I've been friends with them for years, wait I must be racist!

In the same sense NAH I can say your comment about dragon driving is racist to gypsys. Not fair when people pull the racism card for no reason, is it? :)

No, because unlike you she hasn't 1)decided what race these people are (yes, that is chinese writing up top, but do you ave any idea if they themselves are chinese)
2)She hasn't tried to suggest all 'gypsies' (if that is what we have decided everyone on DD is ) are the same, using phrases like 'gypsies as a whole', in a similar ilk to your 'China as a whole' comment.

Perhaps, a more sensible statement to use to express your disgust would have been: "I think these people are Chinese, I believe some Chinese people to be incredibly cruel to their animals, due to -----"

If you really think the place is that bad, consider that charitable donations previously used to support animal and child welfare have fallen 80%+ in the last 3 years, and consider that difference that money may make.

It was obviously want was inclined.

I apologise unreservedly if I haven't phrased my point in the correct manner. But to call be racist over observations is ridiculous. Why can't people observe a different race without someone pulling the racist card out of the bag? Its very sad.
I'm friends with people from all backgrounds, ethnicities, religions etc and I find it laughable that because I said 'as a whole' meaning 'not everyone but quite a few inc governments attitude' I am now a racist.

If you chose to be offended then please go ahead but if you re-read what I have said clearly you will see there is very little to be offended by.

Can you read Chinese? Can you speak Chinese? Have you just decided by the look that the people are involved are Chinese? That's racism #1. Can you tell where a white person comes from just by looking at them, then proceed to judge 1.35billion people, no...?

My point was that china as a whole doesn't value animal welfare.
There you go, eliminating the wants, needs, and actions of individuals. 20% of Chinese people are Buddhists, do they count in this total? What about the 1000's of Chinese supporters of CAPN animal charity?

I apologise unreservedly if I haven't phrased my point in the correct manner.
And I apologize if I seem horrendously mean and OTT, but it really gets my goat!

If you made sweeping generalizations like all English people are rude/racist/have awful teeth - would you expect to be told not to generalize?
All cobs are lazy and everyone should only ride chestnut warmblood mares, because only they can do dressage? Again, you'd be told you can't just millions by the actions you've seen and interpreted.
So don't, by virtue of the media, decide over a billion people (+ migrants who do not live in China but identify as being Chinese) are all animal abusers.

Don't tell me - baring in mind you have no idea who I am, where I'm from and what I go through on a daily basis - what I'm allowed to feel.

How many times do I have to say it, the majority of people in any country don't conform to the stereotypes. Not all Indian people abandon female babies. Not all gypsies would sell their grandmas for a packet of cigs. Not all English people have bad teeth. They are nothing but generalisations.
My original point was that the government don't take animal cruelty seriously in china. They don't here, but at least some action gets taken. My original point was that no action will be taken by the government over there for cruelty online on YouTube so perhaps YouTube won't take it seriously either.

I'm not going to get riled up or offended because if you knew the way that my comments were intended you'd understand what I'm trying to say. If you knew me you'd understand that I really am not a racist person.

It makes me laugh how this has turned into "racism". The point above is spot on. From what I understand, China has NO animal welfare laws. It's not racist, it's the fact that animal cruelty is allowed over there, and as a result is far more common.

Example: the animal "trinkets" that were sold at the Olympics. Goldfish and baby turtles encased in a plastic keyring. Due to lack of oxygen, they died within a matter of days, vendors didn't care because they're making money and it's not illegal. As sad as it is, there's nothing that can be done.

Go figure.

But the point is, it's not the Chinese people, it's the way the country is run, it's a dictatorship. The developed part in the south of the country is worlds apart from the underdeveloped north. I have a Chinese step-family, my step-mother lived in China until the age of 40, when she moved over here, my step-brother was 16... I can honestly say that they are great around my horses, and also difficult my dog, and I don't think they've ever beaten an animal? I personally find this thread rather insulting.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, IMHO (please note MY opinion which I am entitled to), the human race is a disease on the planet. We have no respect for the planet or anything that lives on it. We'll end up destroying the planet and ourselves.:mad:
There are people all over the world that care but unfortunately not enough to make enough of a difference. And no, I 'm not a fluffy bunny just seen enough of life to be realistic. :(
