I'll get the show report out of the way quickly so you can all get to the photos of the new yard, shall I?
Managed to qualify for a local dressage group's championship show by coming second in one of our tests. Good, thought I, they're running the test we did for our very first elementary. Here's our chance to nail our simple changes and improve on our score.
While our changes were much improved, our score wasn't.
Still, I can't fault my little ginger delinquent - despite asking if they were running on time, somewhere between my asking and warming up for my test they ended up running 40 minutes late and I only found out when I sent SuperGroom to check 5 minutes before my test time.
We managed a respectable 5th place in our biggest class yet so at least we got a pretty rossy for our efforts.
Obligatory pictures:

Since then, we've taken a bit of a break from competing. We've started playing with changes, had a go at passage and started jumping again (well, dad has).

He's currently off with a sore back so the next time he gets worked will be at our new yard, which is really coming along nicely now.
We've gone from this:

Inside the barn, we now have rubber matting down and both solariums are up and running.

It's looking a lot tidier now that the builders have started to backfill the areas between the big shed, arena and stable block, and we've got more concrete/tarmac down on the main yard. I think it'll look super smart once we get some plants in to soften the place up and the post and rail is put in.
And finally... the new arrival.
Meet Ellie. She arrived yesterday and I'm already in love.

I wasn't looking for a new horse but I spotted her online and bought her the next day.
And that's pretty much it from us. Hoping to move to our new yard next week so it's all systems go at the moment.
Thanks for reading.
