Would a cross between a blanket and trace clip be OK? Any pics?

I am sorry, I cant find a single pic of this clip without tack on, but we use this one on our lot who arent in super hard winter work, but that do need less hair when they are. Works pretty well and we like how it looks!

That’s it! A high unzipped!

Ester, I love your yellow clip lines to help your mum with Frank, but I did get a bit confused with what turns out to be a yellow hosepipe in the background :D!

So did I and had to go back for another look as I thought it was outlining something to do with the tail!

haha sorry! definitely not clipping the tail. Having had the photo now the reality doesn't quite follow the instructions but will do the job :D

He is a bit of a pain because he does get sweaty, and his coat is so dense that washing off is problematic and he is so prone to getting scabby too, but he is stiff behind now so trying to keep that well covered. For him doing half legs was a revelation, particularly in front.

Thanks everyone. Went for un unzip clip (I’m not even putting that in inverted commas anymore as I have officially added it to the list of recognised clips :) ) this morning and it looks very smart!

i have just found out (i hope) how to post pics so this is my old cushings mare(sadly no more) with her clip which was done to make her comfortable in her old age.

Ive never done set "known" clips, I just take off as much as I think the horse needs. My sons dartmooor has I guess what you'd call an Irish clip I think - underneath of neck, round front legs and finishing by sheath. Sometimes if pony is super scruffy (which she is at the moment, her chin hair makes the bridle a bit neat fitting) then I'll go up the neck to the top behind the ears to take off half the head as well. And if she needs it I might take off the whole neck so its sort of a blanket at the front.
