Would a fleec rug be ok to use

as a stable rug now over night?
My mre is abit under weight so feels the cold. Or will she be ok rugless for a while?

mine is still out but has a fleece under her lightweight NZ, if it fits well and she's cold, why not?

go for it if she needs something = some slip back though onto the withers - but some are ok - trial and error prob

Yep fine I'd say, it will be the first rug i put on my old boy when it gets a little cooler.

I don't use as stable rugs due to them slipping

Only if it is a good fit and you know it won't slip. Pony occassionally wears one if it's cold, but not cold enough for her proper stble rug. It is well fitting though and never slips.

Hi, for the past few nights i have been bringing my mare in and leaving her in a fleece overnight.

Although she is a cobby type she does feel the cold, very nesh horsey! Its not cold enough for her lightweight stable rug just yet & the fleece seems to keep her nice & snug just right at the moment

My old lad has a fleece on overnight now...when he is clipped he will have his MW stable rug on. .....but that would be too much for now.

neds have lw rugs that are lighter than the fleeces

in fact come to think of it, only have fleeces for travelling or because we liked the colours

The Princess has been wearing a fleece overnight whilst its not too chilly enough for a stable rug and a bit too chilly to go without. Its never slipped and fits well.
