Would a kimblewick suit our pony?

Hi, we are in need of a stronger bit for our pony. She is a cob with a thick set neck and is quite over bent. For this reason I don't think a bit with a lot of poll action is the way forward. Would a kimblewick be a good choice?

If anything like my very strong, whizzy Irish cob, yours will probably have a fleshy mouth with not a lot of room! I did use a Hillary Vernon Mullen loose ring snaffle but just had a bit/ bridle clinic and changed to a HP lip relief snaffle ☺️

I would try a gag, it's my favorite bit due to the options you have with it. I would always ride with two reins or have a delta, I hate people who put the reins on like the picture below as it's really harsh. Worked on one of my earlier mares who was not necessarily overbending just heavy and pulling her head down.
